Day of Tabernacles - Waters of the Holy Spirit - September 27, 2021 - Torah Portion

Torah Portion starting Monday 27 September – the 7th day of Tabernacles.

Lev: 22:26 - 23:44 Num: 29:12 – 16: Luke 2:22 Purification rites required by the Law of Moses

As I am recording this message, it is pouring with rain – which perhaps is very significant. During the seven days of Tabernacles, a sacrificial out pouring of water called a “water libation” was performed at the temple. In this ceremony, The high priest would lead a procession to the pool of Siloam where he would fill a golden pitcher with water and then return to the courtyard at the temple where the high priest would pour out the water over the altar.

A great crowd of people would waive their palm branches and cry out Hosanna to remind the people of the days in the barren wilderness when God gave them water out of a rock. Then the people would shout and wave palm branches, rejoicing and praising God.

But on the great day, the last day of the Feast of Tabernacles, there was no such ceremony because one more day had been added to the 7 days called Shemini Atzeret the 8th day of Tabernacles (New beginnings) - It was on this day, for us Tuesday which is the 22nd of the 7th Hebraic month that Jesus seized the opportunity to cry aloud,

“If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink”. By that, he means, I am the Rock. I am the very Rock that those in the wilderness drank from. These words are confirmed by Paul in 1 Corinthians 10:4: They all drank of the Spiritual Rock which followed them, and that Rock was Christ. There in the wilderness God was teaching the same truth that he is teaching us today: Jesus is the Rock from which we can drink and satisfy the thirst of our hearts.

But Jesus says “If anyone thirst, let him come to me and drink whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water John 7:2, 37–38.

He spoke of the living water that He would give to those who ask him. This water he said would truly satisfy the thirsty heart and provide everlasting nourishment for life. He further explained that this water would spring forth within the heart as a result of trusting in him. The apostle John called this the living water the Holy Spirit and today Jesus says to all who are thirsty, I will give you the springs of the water of life.

In this Hebraic year of 5782 as I have mentioned before 8 = New Beginnings and 80 means mouth (to declare the prophetic and to share God’s word – the Torah) and 2 = Bet = the House or the Tabernacle, We have now entered this New Hebraic Year and we are beginning to see these words rolling out. Today, I was asked to bring the Torah Portion to a new church and to teach on the importance of the Feasts of the Lord for the Gentile Bride. Also, as we move into this new infilling of Holy Spirit in January 2022, I believe there will be a great outpouring of the Holy Spirit across this land within the House of God, evangelism and the greatest awakening we have ever experienced with miracles, signs and wonders. Act 2:22 is the only sentence in the Bible that speaks of all three (miracles, signs and wonders) in one sentence.

And since the Lord has been showing me 2s, 22, 2:22 and 22:22 I feel bound to quote from Revelation 22 “The angel showed me the river of the water of life as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the lamb down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing 12 crops of fruit, yielding it’s fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree for the healing of the nations. Of course, we understand that the Apostle John was speaking of Jerusalem and this will come to pass according to the Word of God.

However, living in Canada we understand that our flag, displaying the maple leaf in the centre – the only National flag in the world displaying a leaf – the Maple Leaf being the emblem for Canada, is a prophetic picture of the destiny of Canada as being a country whose Leaf also symbolizes the healing of the nations. Fist Nations and the Nations of the World. Daniel 2:22 reads “He reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what lies in the darkness, and light dwells in him”.

Yesterday, I invited a First Nations lady to my house in order to pray, in agreement, for someone who needed a touch from the Lord. However, as I am preparing these Torah Notes, and in particular the words of Jesus, “Whoever is thirsty let him come to me and drink and out of his belly will flow rivers of living water”, she tells me that The Lord had told her to bring along with her water from a spring – living water – to my house and to pour it over me from head to foot which she did. It is remarkable that during Tabernacles, as I am preparing my notes for today, she comes to my door with living water to baptise me afresh in Holy Spirit for the year ahead declaring “Neshamah chay” meaning “Breath of Life” linking me with God through “Ruach the Wind” - The Holy Spirit also referred to by Jesus as “the River of Living Water” and speaking Genesis 2:7 where God breathes His breath into Adam.

After she had done this, the following day the phone rang and the pastor of Ekklesia 12 asked me to bring the teaching on Tabernacles which he had heard on this fb page which I did, and, according to His word, out of my heart flowed rivers of living water.

Shabbat Shalom

Miriam
