Rosh Hashanah - "Jewish New Years" - September 6 - 7th, 2021

In Jewish tradition, Rosh Hashanah which means the “Head of the Year” is celebrated as Jewish New Year’s day. The holiday is observed on the first two days of the Hebrew month of Tishri i.e. the seventh “new moon of the year, which usually falls in September and this year on Monday 6th and Tuesday 7th September.

It is followed by the 10 Days of Awe, a period of self examination and repentance. Rosh Hashanah also commemorates the creation of the universe by God. My prayer: “Let there be light “ and new revelation.

It is also known as Yom Teru’ah the “Feast of Trumpets” when on the sixth day of creation, the Lord created Adam and Eve and then He rested.

It is also called the Day of Remembrance Leviticus 23:24 in reference to the commandment to remember to blow the shofar (TERU’AH) to coronate God as King of the Universe. The blast of the shofar is meant to jolt us from our sleep. We are to remember who we really are by remembering that the Lord is our King Psalm 47:2 “For the Lord most high is to be feared, He is the great king over all the earth.”

The Torah portion for the First day of Rosh Hashanah is about the birth and binding of Isaac, and the substitute “Ram in the thicket” the link to the ram’s horn - the shofar. The blowing of the shofar ushers in the Messianic kingdom at the end of days. (Isaac is a shadow of Messiah)

The shofar is the most mentioned musical instrument in the Scriptures. It is blasted at least 100 times during a typical Rosh Hashanah service, satisfying the commandment to make Teru’ah “noise” on this day.

Oh but there is so much more to tell you this year.

As we enter The Hebraic year 5782, you will remember last week I explained the importance of the numbers and their meanings. We are also entering a Smitah year - the 7th year where the land rests.

Hebrew Year 5782 meaning reading from right to left:

2 = Bet = House. You are the House and God is the Father of the House.

8=Chet =Life or Living water. New Life is coming to your House

7=completeness and perfection

5=grace= a complete and perfect level of grace in your House.

Mercy will be raining down on us this year.

We have come through a long dark night, but joy comes in the morning.

During a Smitah Year there is double fruit - signalling harvest time for us all to enjoy. We can expect the greatest harvest ever seen on earth so far. As the land rests so are the people rejuvenated with an infusion of Holy Spirit - Living Water. It is in its infancy at the moment but will “Spring Forth” and it will gush.

The Lord is saying to us this year- be bold be strong. Bring the Good News as people are searching for God in this season of oppression, chaos and turmoil, sickness and death. He has prepared their hearts to receive the Gospel. Declare healing over the sick. A window of Healing Ministry is opening up over the land. People need to hear that God loves them. He is not angry with them, He is a loving Father waiting for His sons and daughters to come home. He is waiting for people to RETURN to Him in this season of Teru’ah.

Get rid of fear, and be filled with compassion, mercy and love. Your fruit basket is full. This is a New Season and a wonderful New Year we are entering this week. It’s the year of the Lion’s roar, that will bring healing to the people and to the land.

Religion is out, traditions are out and denominations are obliterated. We are RETURNING to the ancient paths celebrating Shabbat, Hanukkah, Passover, Pentecost, Feast of Trumpets, Yom Kippur The Day of Atonement and Tabernacles (God with us). Return to the ancient path. “Zechariah 1:3 “Therefore say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts, “Return to Me,” declares the Lord of hosts, “that I may return to you,” says the Lord of hosts.

let us return to the Lord.

Hosea 6:“Come, let us return to the Lord.

For He has torn us, but He will heal us; Yes! He will heal us. A great year of healing ministry is about to open up.

On the Feast of Trumpets it is written: ”For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the Trump of God”:1Thessalonians 4:16. Watch President Trump and the USA.
